Professor Graham E Holder, has held a Hong-Leong Professorship at the National University of Singapore since 2017, having previously been Director of Electrophysiology and Consultant Electrophysiologist at Moorfields Eye Hospital from 1995. He has >270 peer-reviewed publications (>27450 citations), >45 book chapters, and a co-edited Atlas of Chorioretinal Dystrophies. He co-authored the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO) monograph on visual electrophysiology and was on the Editorial Committee for the recently revised AAO Basic and Clinical Science Course: Retina and Vitreous. He accepted an Honorary Professorship of University College London Institute of Ophthalmology in 2007, and of University of Sydney Medical School in 2013. He is an Honorary Fellow of the Academy for Healthcare Science and a Fellow of ARVO.

 

He is a past President of EVER, the European Association for Vision and Eye Research; a member of the Scientific Advisory Board for the European Society of Ophthalmology; and was a Board Member of EUPO (the European Community University Professors of Ophthalmology). He was a long-term Board member of the International Society for Clinical Electrophysiology of Vision (ISCEV), and Director of Education from 2001-2014. He twice served on the Council of the British Society for Clinical Neurophysiology (BSCN), chairing the Scientists sub-committee. He was a joint recipient of a prestigious Alcon award in 2010. He has received AAO and APAO Achievement Awards, was named a Visionary of the Quarter by the European Vision Research Gateway, and was recently awarded the highly prestigious J Donald Gass medal by the Macula Society.
